Examiner Course 0218
Course Description
This course enables candidates who are looking to become Lifesaving Society examiners in any instructor level stream (Bronze, National Lifeguard or Standard First Aid). Upon successful completion of this course, candidates must apprentice or coteach with an examiner mentor in order to be eligible to evaluate and certify candidates in the instructor level certificate that they hold.
Examiners are experienced instructors who undergo specific training in examination methodology and standards prior to certification. Examiner candidates must have teaching experience: they must have taught or co-taught at least one course in the stream(s) in which they are seeking certification as an examiner. For information on which examiners evaluate which awards, refer to the individual certification descriptions in this guide.
Examiner Process:
Certification as an Examiner is a three-step process:

Apprenticeship – Successfully apprentice under the supervision of an Examiner Mentor on one exam in the stream(s) in which they are seeking certification as an examiner.
